About me
My name is Dr. Rosario Sánchez Gómez, and I founded the Spanish Hub with a passion for language to help you achieve fluency in Spanish. My online tutoring services focus on mastering language skills and cultural understanding, providing you with a holistic learning experience.
As a native Spanish speaker from Spain, I bring over 25 years of
experience teaching the language in the United States, at both college and high school levels. I specialize in crafting highly personalized lessons designed to meet each student exactly where they are. In addition to my background from Spain, I also have family roots in Puerto Rico, which has given me a personal connection to the island and its rich culture.
For native Spanish-speaking parents eager to see their children thrive in Spanish, my insights extend beyond the classroom, as I have successfully navigated the rewarding path of raising a bilingual son myself.
My academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan. For the past 25 years, I've had the privilege of teaching full-time and leading the Spanish program at a prominent independent school in the Boston area. This experience not only allowed me to pursue significant professional development but also to design and implement their first Spanish Exchange program in Madrid from the ground up.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating an immersive and supportive environment where students feel confident to make mistakes and learn through active engagement. I firmly believe that each learner embarks on a unique path towards developing a second language system. While explicit instruction can play a supporting role, true acquisition thrives when learners engage with language naturally and at their own pace. Other Key Policies
Full payment for a single session, or the first month's payment for any monthly subscription package, is required a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your desired session start time.
No refunds are issued for unused sessions within an active monthly package.
No Rollover: Unused sessions from any monthly package (1:1 or Group) do not roll over to subsequent months and will expire at the end of the billing cycle.
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Your access to sessions will continue until the end of your current paid monthly billing cycle.
